As today is the beginning of the Handmade Circle Team Bootcamp (for info see post below) that I am honored to be a member of, I have been doing a lot of reflecting on things…Trying to be positive, affirmative, and envisioning the way that I would like my business to be. As an avid gardener, I began thinking that a business is like a garden in many ways. Just as a garden needs love and care to flourish, so too does a business. You can’t just stick a seed into the ground and expect a beautiful garden the next day. It takes patience, nurturing, and hard work. And so too with a business. You can’t just open an Etsy shop, list a couple of items, and expect to be a huge overnight success booming with sales. It takes a lot of work and patience. It can be very frustrating in times like these where sales are very slow and it can be hard staying positive. It is just important to remember that when you put your heart and soul into something you love doing, it will eventually flower and bear fruit.
Some of my May blooming perrennials are early this year due to the unusually warm Michigan spring!
