Seasons Change

01 Nov

Hello and Happy Fall! Hope everyone had a great Halloween! It has been so long since I have posted but I hope to start doing it more often again. The end of the summer and beginning of fall brought some changes for us….Our beloved Peanut passed away at the end of August and it was a really sad time for us. We are comforted in the fact that she is no longer blind, diabetic, and arthritic. We were blessed to have had her in our lives for almost 13 years.

We have also begun a new chapter in our lives and just got a new puppy. She is a 10 week old Cairn Terrier named Pebbles. She has filled our home with love and laughter, but I certainly forgot how energetic puppies are! She keeps us on our toes…

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner already with the holidays soon following. I hope to share with you recipes and gift ideas in the coming weeks in hopes that they will make your holidays easier and more enjoyable.

These pumpkins would work wonderfully for Thanksgiving decorations…Since we ship via Priority Mail there is still plenty of time to get them!

Hope everyone has a great day! Thanks so much for reading!

So sorry to read about your loss. My pets are getting “up there” in age, too, so this is something I’ve been thinking about, too. I’m glad that you got yourself a new pet, so many people lose one and say, “Never again.” I had to go without a pet for many years, so now I don’t think I will ever not have a pet.

Thank you so much for your kind words:) Yes, when pets age it is sad. We just have to enjoy every day we are blessed with them. Peanut developed diabetes after Christmas last year. She needed shots everyday and she also went blind. We knew after that that her time was coming and we tried to prepare ourselves. It still doesn’t make it easier though. My husband and I are dog lovers and have had them all our lives. The house was just too quiet and lonely and this new puppy has brought a lot of joy and love. She will never replace our Peanut but we love her for who she is:)

So sad to hear about Peanut! Don’t know what I’ll do when my parrot dies…. Pebbles looks so cute! She looks very energetic….:)

Thank you for your kind words:) Yes, Pebbles is very energetic, to put it mildly…lol. Her absolute cuteness lets her get away with all sorts of mischief too!
